Reston, VA – January 28, 2010 – CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of applications and application development software for Microsoft SharePoint, today announced Adam Macaulay, Vice President of Technology, will speak at SharePoint Saturday in New York City on January 30.
With two speaking slots – 1:00pm-2:15pm and 4:00pm-5:15pm – Macaulay will focus on Business Connectivity Services (BCS) and SharePoint Designer and Managed MetaData Services.
In his first presentation, Development: Entities & Me, the BCS, Macaulay will introduce the audience to the BCS and teach them how to leverage technologies such as SharePoint Designer 2010 to create entities and leverage them within the SharePoint 2010 interfaces.
Macaulay’s second session, Special Interest: SharePoint Designer & Managed MetaData Services, will help users understand how to manage pages, content types, site columns, workflow, data sources, lists, permissions and sites with the new SharePoint 2010.
"There has been a bittersweet relationship with designers and SharePoint Designer for some years. But what can you expect from the new version? How can administrators control access to it?” asked Macaulay. “What about the Managed MetaData Application Service and how does it affect me? By learning its strengths and weaknesses, you can make the informed decision about when it should or should not be used. These are all things I will discuss at SharePoint Saturday."
Macaulay is responsible for research and development of the technology platform driving the success of CorasWorks products. He has more than14 years of experience – 12 in Microsoft and 8 in SharePoint – developing Internet applications that have taken internal, cost ineffective solutions and turned them into profitable Internet applications that continue to exist today.

It is an educational, informative and lively day-long event filled with sessions from CorasWorks representatives and other respected SharePoint professionals, covering a wide variety of SharePoint-orientated topics.
