CorasWorks Announces New Version of Its Application Platform for SharePoint 2010
Workplace Suite v10.4 and Toolset 1.7 Now Available for Applications, Solutions on SharePoint 2010
Reston, VA – May 27, 2010 - CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of off-the-shelf business applications and solutions for Microsoft SharePoint, today announced the release of a new version of its CorasWorks Application Platform. The new version is built to leverage the benefits and capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint 2010 and support new CorasWorks applications built for SharePoint 2010.
The CorasWorks Application Platform is a unified environment for running, customizing, managing, and building CorasWorks-based applications and solutions on SharePoint. The new version of the Platform fully supports both SharePoint 2007 and SharePoint 2010, enhancing continuity and stability for whenever an organization decides to upgrade to 2010.
Just last week, CorasWorks announced the first wave of its next-generation applications and solutions for SharePoint 2010. These applications and solutions are supported by the new version of the CorasWorks Application Platform and include Project Portfolio Management and a Help Desk. CorasWorks also announced two new business solutions for SharePoint 2010—Idea Management for SharePoint and IT Project Management.

- Enhancements to several Point-&-Click Wizards to facilitate customization of applications
- Enhanced framework to simplify and streamline data entry, editing, and presentation
- Additions to the One-touch Management System to improve overall application manageability
- Support of double-byte languages.
In addition to these enhancements, the platform includes full support for Business Connectivity Services (BCS) made available through the external content type. The BCS enables SharePoint integration with external data, including line of business applications.
The CorasWorks Application Platform is comprised of the award-winning Workplace Suite and the CorasWorks Toolset. The new release is Version 10.4 of the Workplace Suite and Version 1.7 of the Toolset.
