Workplace ID Generator Allows Users to Create Unique and Distinctive IDs in SharePoint
Reston, VA – February 24, 2010 – CorasWorks Corporation, a leading provider of applications and application development software for Microsoft SharePoint, today announced that its Unique ID for SharePoint is now available for download from the CorasWorks App Store. Anyone running SharePoint 2007 can visit the App Store and download the product for free. It does not require any additional CorasWorks software.
The Workplace ID Generator v1.6 is used to create unique and distinctive IDs in SharePoint and is an important feature for many SharePoint applications. The Workplace ID field can be added to any list or library to automatically generate unique IDs constructed from fields, dates and text. It also generates an incrementor to ensure the value is indeed unique.
The Generator contains eight different elements that can be mixed and matched to create IDs. Combining this tool with SharePoint calculated columns and lookups gives users a solid way to build structured relationships. The Workplace ID Generator also contains extensive documentation and starter templates.
