Welcome to the first edition of the CorasWorks Community Update. Six months ago, we started the CorasWorks Community - community.corasworks.net - with the idea of it becoming the one place where our customers, partners, and even prospects could go to get all the information they would ever need on CorasWorks software. Now, 6 months later, we are proud to announce that our Community has grown by leaps and bounds. For example, we now have:
  • More than 350 topics and 1,000 posts in our Forums
  • More than 400 items in our Resources section, including more than 80 learning/training videos
  • 80 blog articles
  • And, more than 40 downloadable, plug-and-play apps in our CorasWorks App Store.
The purpose of this Community Update is to keep you informed of new things in the Community and those being added to the Community every day. There is a tremendous amount of innovation going on and it is only going to heat up as we start to blow out Apps and move on SharePoint 2010.

In this introductory issue of Community Update, we want to simply familiarize you with what’s in the Community. We’ll see you there!

The CorasWorks Community has 5 major sections: 1) My Place for software download, 2) Forums, 3) Blogs, 4) Resources, and 5) CorasWorks App Store, and we have developed videos to give you an overview of each of these sections.

Community Resources

The Resources section has 13 different types of resources in 4 categories. Each resource has its own content and usually its own search feature to allow you to find what you need.

You’ll find articles, videos, links, online help, tutorials for different audiences, white papers and more.

Community App Store

We already have more than 40 Apps for you to download, install and use. If you are a CorasWorks customer or partner on Premier Annual Support and Maintenance (PASM), then all CorasWorks apps are FREE – that’s about half of the apps. All Apps by CorasWorks and independent publishers go through our Ready-for-Work certification process. Learn more about the App Store in the App Store introductory video.

Forums
Visit the Forums to ask questions and see what other conversations are going on. Make sure to use the Forum search feature to pinpoint just Forum entries. 		Blogs
We have three active blogs. For the latest on technology and products see Adam Macaulay’s blog, our VP, Technology. The From the Field blog brings you learnings by CorasWorks Professional Services and Solution Consultants. Wiliam’s Blog is by William Rogers, our co-founder and Chief Workplace Architect, which covers a broad range of topics from the business, to design and architecture of applications and work environments, to reviews of apps. 		My Place
My Place is the place where you go to download CorasWorks product software (the bits, bytes, and documentation). You’ll also find services for your Community Bookmarks and User Self Management.
