Solution Architect
CorasWorks is seeking to hire a SharePoint Solution Architect to join our dynamic product team as we build our next–generation product offering. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years professional work experience at a software products or services company. The Solution Architect will be responsible for managing all aspects of the CorasWorks Workplace Suite Solution Set. This includes designing, building, testing, documenting, and packaging solutions that are part of each Workplace Suite release. The Solution Architect will be responsible for developing and maintaining the standards for how CorasWorks solutions are built and deployed. The Solution Architect will also be responsible for interfacing with other members of the organization to help drive the delivery of solutions and standards to the market in a variety of ways. The Solution Architect must have knowledge of building solutions on Microsoft SharePoint. Knowledge of CorasWorks products is preferred.
The successful candidate must be technically competent with knowledge of the software development lifecycle. The candidate will need to leverage this knowledge in a fast-paced environment with personal accountability and a “get it done” attitude. This person will also be highly motivated as a self–starter and able to work from high–level objectives and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for entire Solution Set planning effort
- Create and document the Solution Set strategy and processes
- Design, build, test, document, and package CorasWorks solutions on the Microsoft SharePoint platform using CorasWorks technology
- Document and maintain the solutions development standards which will be used internally and as a Best Practices externally
- Contribute to CorasWorks Showroom (an online demo site)
- Interface with other CorasWorks staff to develop and promote solutions
- Gather requirements from internal staff (namely the services organization), customers, partners, and prospects to generate new solution ideas and solutions requirements
- Administer and maintain the systems used throughout the solutions process
- Fix any issues discovered after solutions have been released and package the fixed solutions as needed
- Assist in testing components released in the Workplace Suite and provide feature feedback
- Collaborate with the marketing department to communicate solution set features and benefits both internally and externally
Experience ⁄ Skills:
- BA/BS degree required
- 6+ years professional experience working for a product software or services company
- 3+ years designing, building, testing, documenting solutions or applications
- 1+ years SharePoint solution development experience
- Microsoft SharePoint (v3 ⁄ MOSS 2007) is required
- CorasWorks products knowledge is preferred
- Knowledge of project management, document management, or business solution development is preferred
- XML, JavaScript, CSS, and ASP.NET ⁄ C# knowledge a plus
- Highly technical competence with an ability to quickly grasp new technology
- Very high energy and a positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Understanding of product development practices and processes with demonstrated expertise of test practices, processes, methodologies and tools
- Must be authorized to work in the US
